Why Cherished Dachshunds?
All of my puppies are cared for with the highest standards from the moment they are born. They are wormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age and visit the veterinarian at 6 to 7 weeks for a full health check. Each puppy goes home microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, so you can rest assured your new family member is healthy and protected.
Every puppy also goes home with a Cherished Goodie Bag filled with love and essentials for an easy transition. It includes toys, food, a harness, a leash, a blanket, clothes, and a few extra surprises anything I can think of to make your trip home with your new baby as smooth and happy as possible.

Cherished Dachshunds was founded by Jessica Jordan, a woman whose heart beats for the long haired dachshund. What began as a simple love for one little dog quickly blossomed into a lifelong devotion to preserving and perfecting one of the most charming breeds in the world.
Jessica’s journey started with her very first dachshund, the one who taught her the meaning of unconditional love, loyalty, and laughter. From that moment, her heart was forever claimed by those long, wiggly bodies and soulful eyes. Over time, that love grew into a deep passion for raising healthy, well tempered, and truly exceptional companions.
Cherished Dachshunds is more than just a kennel, it’s a family. Each dog is loved, nurtured, and raised right inside Jessica’s home, surrounded by warmth and care. Every puppy that leaves carries not only the beauty of their pedigree but also a piece of Jessica’s heart.

What makes my program special is the care, intention, and love that go into every decision. I hand-select my pairings based on structure, temperament, and health to create well-rounded, intelligent, and stunning longhaired dachshunds. My focus on both Russian and American lines allows me to blend the best of both worlds—strong bone and coat quality from my Russians with the sweetness and personality of my American lines.
All of my dachshunds are raised inside my home, not in kennels, and they are treated like family from day one. They play, nap, and grow right alongside me, which helps them become confident, affectionate, and social. I spend time every single day teaching, loving, and preparing them for their forever families.
