Where every dachshund is truly cherished, and every puppy is raised with love, dedication, and a whole lot of dachshund personality!

I’m Jessica Jordan, the heart behind Cherished Dachshunds, located in beautiful North Carolina. My journey began in 2021 with smooth coated dachshunds, but everything changed in 2022 when I welcomed my first longhaired dachshund. I completely fell in love with their beautiful coats, expressive faces, and wonderful personalities. It didn’t take long for me to realize that longhaired dachshunds were where my heart belonged.

In 2024, my breeding program took an exciting new direction when I welcomed my first Russian dachshunds, Luka, Sacha, and Ava. These dogs introduced me to a different look and style of dachshund, and I became fascinated with the beautiful structure, substantial bone, gorgeous coats, and overall appearance of the European lines.

What started with those first Russian additions has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of.

Today, Cherished Dachshunds is home to American, Russian, and Polish bloodlines, including carefully selected imports brought directly from Europe.

I’ve continued investing in my program by bringing in exceptional dachshunds from Russia and Poland, including my beautiful Russian male, Romeo, and my two Polish girls, Farrah and Felicity. These additions represent an exciting new chapter for Cherished Dachshunds as I continue developing both my established lines and my growing standard dachshund program.

My goal isn’t simply to produce beautiful puppies. I want dachshunds with excellent structure, sound movement, good health, wonderful temperaments, and the unmistakable personality that makes this breed so special.

I believe a beautiful dachshund should be more than just a pretty face. Health, temperament, and proper structure will always matter to me. That’s why I put so much thought into my breeding decisions, health testing, pedigrees, and the dogs I choose to bring into my program.

At Cherished Dachshunds, I raise longhaired miniature, tweenie, and standard dachshunds, with a growing emphasis on European bloodlines. I appreciate the qualities of both my American and European dogs, and my goal is to thoughtfully build upon those strengths while always putting the dogs’ well-being first.

Every puppy is born and raised right here in my home. They grow up surrounded by family, everyday household activity, other dachshunds, and plenty of love and attention. I want my puppies to leave here feeling confident, loved, and ready to become cherished members of their new families.

And believe me, life with dachshunds is never boring! They’re stubborn, funny, affectionate, mischievous, and sometimes downright ridiculous. But that’s exactly what makes them so special, and I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.

Breeding dachshunds is something I take seriously. I’m constantly learning, making improvements, and looking toward the future of my program. I’m proud of where I started, but I’m even more excited about where Cherished Dachshunds is headed.

My goal has never been to produce the most puppies. It’s to continue producing better dachshunds and giving each one the very best beginning I can.

Every puppy that leaves my home carries a little piece of my heart, and finding the right family for each one means everything to me.
